Network For All: A Programmable Testbed for Networking Research
Funding Agency:Higher Education Commission, Pakistan
Amount:Pak Rupees 3.4 million (USD 40,000)
Duration:August, 2011-August, 2013
Revolution in internet has increased the importance of networks as a major component of home, business and school infrastructure. With new opportunities, it has given birth to many limitations as well. Even with significant advancements in research, a great deal of effort is required to bring things in practice. Currently, there is no setup or testbed that provides the researchers to experiment their proposed protocols in realistic settings.
The main theme of this project is to develop a wired and wireless testbed that will allow the researchers to test their protocols and algorithms before real-world deployments.
An OpenFlow (wired/wireless) enabled testbed of programmable switches and routers that can process multiple isolated experiments at the same time.
